Renewing My Writing Career

When I woke up this morning I had no idea that I was going to go whole hog and actually buy a web domain with Google. I have been upset with Wordpress for some time simply because they do NOT provide the proper tools to keep out other 'tools' that constantly spam, hack, and otherwise ruin my blogging experience over there. Every morning I clear my spam folder and diligently enter IP addresses, trigger words and phrases, mostly from Russian spammers, translating the Cyrillic so I know which to copy and paste, etc., would-be sellers of viagra and cialis, and let me tell you, it's exhausting, time consuming, and seemingly endless. And I refuse to pay further money for a service like Akismet or the like. Back To Blogger Blogger, even the free version, has always been good to me. I'm Playing Sims 2 Again

 When The Sims first came out over twenty years ago, I fell head over heels in love with the game. I've been playing off and on, through all the expansions and sequels, since then. My favourite version has always been The Sims 2 and recently I've stumbled on some YouTube Creators who play the game so differently than how I do. They are very knowledgeable and I have learned more about The Sims in the past two weeks than I have since its inception. For instance, I eventually accepted as a given the fact that the game would corrupt itself somehow eventually, usually sooner rather than later, and I would have to start anew. I learned to explore the innards of my EA Games files, and by trial and error, what goes where and does this. What's Been Happening

 As tiny as my backyard is, gardens both vegetable and floral, plus the grass and patio... well it's quite enough to keep an old broad like me gainfully occupied. All Hallows' Eve - Initial Cleanup On October 31st, my father's deathday, my mood was tenuous at best. The void yawned. So as a counterbalance, Mother Nature was kind enough to send us a day of glorious weather after a frosty night that had dipped to about -2 degrees Celsius. Rake in hand, I ventured into the yard and saw that our neighbour's chestnut tree had, to a leaf, dropped its organic linen, all over my yard. Hard work is my personal key to any kind of mentalz, so I set to. Aaaaand finished up about six hours later with a clearer head and reasonably tidy yard. Going Forward I have tried vlogging and indeed I have a YouTube channel, but the drama there can be extraordinarily toxic. I am choosing to stay clear of it.
